EDIT: Since there is so much to talk about regarding Chucky in Universal's halloween events, I have changed this thread into a sort of an archive for anything Chucky-related at Universal. As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of the Universal Studios theme parks, as well as their annual halloween event, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Well, until September first of this year, you could experience a small taste of this horror all year long at Universal Studios Hollywood in a great walkthrough attraction called "Universal's House of Horrors." The attraction replaced a Van Helsing attraction in 2007 and terrified everyday park guests for years. I was lucky enough to endure it eight times (yes, I counted) before its closure. It took you through haunted movie sets representing Universal's horror legacy, both classic and modern. One of these rooms, and of course my favorite, was "Chucky's Toy Shop." It was a great recreation of the Play Pals factory from CP2, with Good Guy boxes and other toys everywhere in a maze-like setting, along with a few live Chuckys jumping out of nowhere with a knife. For those who did not get a chance to experience this, I have found an in-depth tour of the haunted maze in photographs from "Inside Universal" and I thought I would share the images of "Chucky's Toy Shop." Enjoy! And finally, here is where the live Chucky would hide. Note that the place was being ripped apart when these photos were taken, and the doorway was surrounded and covered with mutilated stuffed animals, concealing the actor. The cool thing was that throughout the room, you heard the SOC theme as well as the echo of the voodoo chant. Once again, these images are not mine, they are from Inside Universal. If you would like to view the rest of the maze, click here: insideuniversal.net/2014/08/inside-universals-house-of-horrors/

That looks sooo neat!! I'd love to go to something like that, shame it closed down. Do you know why it did?

That looks sooo neat!! I'd love to go to something like that, shame it closed down. Do you know why it did? Universal Studios Hollywood is undergoing a major transformation currently, and they have no room to add on to their park. House of Horrors was, while a popular attraction, not as popular as others. It also wasn't too cost efficient due to having to pay live actors. The final blow was that the attraction was located right in the entryway to the park, which Universal is totally remodeling. The building is being demolished as we speak. This picture was also taken by "Inside Universal" only two days ago. You can see the "Frankenstein's Lab" scene :

I almost forgot. For Halloween Horror Nights 2009 Universal Studios turned the House of Horrors into "Chucky's Funhouse."

Oh yeah, it would have been nice if they got someone that could actually impersonate Chucky, lol.

Oh yeah, it would have been nice if they got someone that could actually impersonate Chucky, lol. At the beginning of the maze with the puppet, yeah, they could've. Yet again, there are very few people who can do a decent Chucky impression on the spot every night. What really grinds my gears is that throughout the maze you hear Chucky's voice pre-recorded, and it sounds like shit. Now how easy would it be to find someone who could actually do a good impression for a one time audio recording session? Hell, if the price was right, Brad would do it. It's not like Universal doesn't have the money.

That is true. That sucks though, why not use clips from the movies?

Ok, so here are the puppets from the hideous "Insult Emporium" attraction: There are no images of the original non-stitched version. Here is the screen-used prop that was converted for "Insult Emporium" in 1998: A new puppet was made for the 2006 event. There are no good pictures of it in use, but there is one shot of it being used as a prop a few years later (credit to Theme Park Review): And finally, here is the rubber mess of a puppet used from 2007-present (also from Theme Park Review). He looks like a fucking beaver. I believe Dragon Prime has a mold of this one:
Finally, just for shits and giggles, this is what the actors in House of Horrors looked like (once again, Theme Park Review):
