How come no one has brought this up? At the beginning, Claudia gets a present from an unknown sender. This turns out to be a dream. Glen gets a present from an unknown sender as well. I think the very last "real world" moment of the movie is Tilly killing the nanny.

I think it would have been more obvious if it was supposed to be a dream.

That does not make sense. It wasn't obvious Glen's dream at the beginning was one.

Yeah, personally, I think the ending was real.

That does not make sense. It wasn't obvious Glen's dream at the beginning was one. Well, the opening scene was done in a POV shot, so I'd say that kind of makes it a little bit obvious it was a dream.

I didn't think it was a dream at all. Why would that give it away? I thought we were getting treated to a Halloween homage. We saw Chucky's POV in the original Child's Play.
Whenever a character in a A Nightmare on Elm Street film has a dream, it ain't through their POV.

NOES and Chucky are two different series, they don't have to follow the same rules, lol.

Yeah, the fact Glen narrated the end bit, and it had the 3rd person omniscient POV makes it pretty real. If it was all one character being focuses on, maybe.

…you didn't acknowledge my bringing up of the fact that we saw Chucky's POV in the original Child's Play, Metal Matt.
Sorry, but it being POV didn't make me feel like it was a dream sequence. Maybe you spoiled it for yourself before release, and that's how you knew, ah dunno.

Yeah, I see Spanky's point, a POV shot does make it seem more real, I'm wrong on that point, sorry.
And I wasn't really aware of Seed Of Chucky before release, so, I couldn't have spoiled it for myself, lol.

Or we just kind of watch the movie and allow ourselves to think freely, instead of thinking how other people should interpret movies, lol. All the scenes from Chucky's POV in the first one were to give the idea that it could possibly be Andy doing the stuff, an idea Don toys with and briefly considered.

You can't be wrong with something like that, and I wasn't saying you were. I just wanted to know the WHY being your WHAT. I like compelling reasons behind answers.

Well you've proven over and over that nobody's reasons here are up to snuff with you, lol, so good luck with that. Most of us don't think it's a dream, we've stated our reasons, we don't need to write some 50 page thesis with a works cited as to why we interpret scenes the way we do.

I simply interpreted it as such because a POV shot isn't something common that is used. And thinking back, I decided that that doesn't make sense.

That does not make sense. It wasn't obvious Glen's dream at the beginning was one. ......yes it was. Not during the dream itself but we're shown that it was a dream when he wakes up from it.
