The head in one stayed alive after being detached. The head in cult I assume is the one from curse which had already been knocked off once. Good point. That head bleeds too, but in Curse was fake/reconstructed head

That was pretty crazy. And since we are in the specific sub-board for spoilers, there's no need to use the tag. Confusing my threads. Just glad to be able to talk freely about it already. Indeed. I know it's not out for everyone, but this isn't like a Facebook group, people aren't going to see spoilers unless they are in this section.

That head bleeds too, but in Curse was fake/reconstructed head I'm a little confused here, Can anyone elaborate? It sounds like you are saying that the head Andy has is from Curse, which is a safe assumption. But is that doll different from the one that was at Nica's house in Curse?

In childs play one the head was shot off and the body kept going.
In curse Nica knocked Chuckys head off but he just put it back on. I assume its the same head Andy has in Curse and can stay alive with no body.

Ahh okay. My only issue with that is it's clear they've thrown the original voodoo stuff out the window, because in the original, John pointed out you have to shoot him in the heart, because he's human. I feel like they just got rid of that whole aspect it's whatever now.
And as for a "lead Chucky", it would be pretty funny if the one they had to kill was the one in Andy's cabin. It just seems so much in Chucky's favor now, it's kind of ridiculous.

In the next movie, Chucky finds a new voodoo that not only allows him to possess multiple bodies at once, but he can also make then change into whatever image he sees fit
So, he takes over the world and everyone becomes a good guy doll.
Now that earth is taken over, he then proceeds to make plans to leave earth and conquer other worlds.
Universe of Chucky.

I mainly lurk nowadays because of work and college, but I had to post something about Cult. I absolutely loved it, and I would rank it as the second best in the series, (with CP1 of course being the first) though I know many would disagree, and to be honest it's just a matter of taste. I adore the camp of a Chucky movie, and I see it as just as much of a vital piece of the series as the horror aspect, however too much of anything is never a good thing. I loved Bride, but really disliked Seed as it went too off the rails for my taste. Cult seemed to find the perfect balance between camp and horror, and it's pulled off beautifully. Another aspect I loved is the connection of characters throughout the series, which I think we had all been waiting for. In addition, I could not be more pleased with Chucky's look and the SFX in general. To conclude, I would give the film a solid 8/10. On a side note, like others have stated, I laughed way too hard at the short-haired Chucky screaming "I'VE NEVER FELT SO ALIVE!" That shit damn near made me piss myself laughing.

The special effects and whatnot were amazing considering the budget. Like it felt closer to the original trilogy for the most part, though I will always love the practicality of the first one where they would use a little person in a Chucky suit and a set that's 33% oversized.

Yeah, they were impressive considering that according to an interview with Don and Forbes, the budget for Cult was about the same as Curse, which surprised me, because this film felt a bit bigger than Curse.

I can see where they conserved some effects.
There were a few scenes that used the same Good Guy going from normal to evil or vice versa using a facial movement that could be self contained in a doll.
Examples of this would be when the doctor left Chucky in his office and after he leaves his brows make the evil jester.
Again when we see the other two Dolls awake, and again when Madeline is hold Chucky outside, his face contorts to evil to flip of Nica. Last was the one armed Chucky sitting down going from alive to Good Guy doll mode.
Those shots did not take much but were super effective.
Which BTW, the last scene had such a creepy ominous feel to it, when he sat down and went into doll mode.
Which still leaves me questioning if he was just going into doll mode or if the soul vacated the doll.
If the latter then Chucky almost has no weaknesses. Now he can commit murder as a doll, then vacate the doll, truly leaving no evidence behind.
Still trying to figure out exactly when he learned this new voodoo.

I also was not a fan of the "voodoofordummies.com" reference. To me that feels schlocky and also, what is to stop anyone from doing what Chucky does? I thought about that line, but what about if this is only a Chucky's 'joke'? Sounds too comedic to me too...

Well being too comedic didn't stop them with Seed, lol

I liked CULT but that line was too much for me too. Something like this worked in Bride, but not here as well.
