I have to say that CP2 has got to be the only horror film that is brightly lit. Think about how most horrors usually take place in dark settings. I.e. woods at night, abandoned house with no electricity... at night.
I mean there was the one basement scene but and naturally a factory would be well lit even at night, but a lot of other scenes take place during the day, like when Chucky killed Andy's teacher. Of course the factory made it a bit easy because depite being well lit and having some bold colors, Chucky could still sneak attack a person since it was a factory with many, many duplicates of... him.
I don't know if this was done on purpose but it does help make the movie stand out not only among the franchise, but for horror films in general.

That is one aspect that really got me as a kid, along with some of the settings. I mean most horror movies would make me be like "it's day out, I'm safe", but then I saw CP2 and it took place a lot during day, and in a lot of settings familiar with me like school and a household. It just scared me that much more because it meant just because it's light out, doesn't mean I am safe.
