I'd like to think that with the success of Curse, they'll get a slightly bigger budget. Not Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 levels of budget, but just enough to get the job done.

It just seems like Universal doesn't care anymore after all,Chucky was always memorable despite being a complete "joke" for two films.

Well, considering the rise of found footage horror films and supernatural, I honestly don't blame them, at least financially. But creatively, they shouldn't turn their backs on Chucky. Chucky movies have been successful financially, especially Bride, which to date is the highest grossing Chucky movie.

They could always turn to crowd-funding for part of their budget.
