Okay... in CP1 we saw Chucky turning human physically but not in other sequels. However... aside from Don and anyone else's reasons I actually have a fantastical way to explain this.
CP1- Direct soul transfer into Good Guy therefore he started looking like Charles Lee Ray, his previous body, as time passed.
CP2- Reconstructed using some innards of his CP1 body... but the outward appearance wasn't originally his. So he basically was operating his face like a mask where his insides turned human.
CP3- Brand New body so process would start all over again. However his previous body was a doll so the physical transformation might have taken shape of just that... his previous doll body. However... we really don't know how human he did turn. His eyes looked human when in alive mode but this could have been due to side effects of not being resurrected via voodoo. Still...
Bride- I am going to say that since he was still in his CP3 body that it had made the full human transition hence the need for the Heart of Damballa. He had hair eyebrows, human looking eyes and pretty much looked how he looked at the end of CP1. I am not ruling out that he might have not died instantly after hitting that fan. A few moments is all it takes.
Seed- New body based on previous body. No further explanation.
Curse- ?

That all makes a lot of sense. I just wish there was some way to explain what the heck was going on with his body in Curse lol, especially it not bleeding when he got hurt. That confuses me the most.

My theory on that is that he had to of been freshly ressurected before being shipped to Nica's house. Who is to say that Tiffany didn't ship him straight from a nearby town.
Although Nica did find out he was shipped from an Evidence Depository so... IDK.

Well if we go based on the idea Tiffany re-built him from Seed, then the chain continues. Also the theory that he HoD is placed inside of his doll body could provide some reasoning to why he doesn't get hurt?

And why he was so confident a soul transfer would work on Alice so easily.

Yeah, I mean maybe there's a lot of the voodoo stuff he kind of learns as he goes along, or Tiffany finds out for him.

Yeah, it could be something along those lines. I just wish we'd gotten an actual explanation for it since him bleeding was a big part of the character and whole turning human aspect for me, I mean he bleeds in every movie and then all of a sudden he doesn't in this one so it would have been nice to know for sure why he wasn't bleeding. Maybe we'll get an answer for it in the next movie?

If I had to guess the real reasons... budget.
They could have used CGI blood effects... but I am glad they passed since the little bit of CGI we did get was N64 quality at best and they gave Chucky his complete Bride look. God forbid they uses actual stills from the movie it was being made for.

They could have used raided the nearby McDonald's for ketchup packets and used those.
