Before we learned about Curse what did you originally think the next movie was going to like following the events of Seed?
I had two ideas. One was where the movie was a direct sequel in which Glenda resurrects Chucky... and the silliness continues. Although I did have hopes that they could still some how manage to give us a "horror" film despite the tone of the previous film based on all the same characters.
My other idea was a full fledged reboot and this was before it was even mentioned by Don or anyone. I figured that maybe the series hit a wall and the only way to bring it back to earth was to shoot for a remake and start a new.
In the end... I am happy with Curse but it is fun to think about what could have been.

Well for years I stayed away from the films due to being scared to death but for a whole I heard sequels dealing with horror and the old remake rumors.

Well if the series continued in the tone of Seed I can garuntee we would have been witness to seeing Chucky do something degrading like taking a dump. I mean... how else are they going to top him jerking himself.
I am willing to bet that they'd go as far as him pooping blue Playdough since he is a toy.

I was a little nervous about it, I was expecting it to go the way of the "Leprechaun" movies.

I seriously thought after the flop that was Seed that there would be no other sequel

I've thought that too but I also didn't want to see the series end on such a low note.

I thought it was going to be a darker movie, about Chucky going after his human family. Or maybe something with Andy. I remember on the official Seed of Chucky website Tilly said "Don has a fantastic idea for a sixth movie."

Yeah, but he also had a 'fantastic' idea for a fifth movie. And look how that turned out

And it turned out wonderful! But yeah, I felt it would go back to a darker path after Seed, Seed kind of exhausted all comedic possibilities regarding Chucky, lol.

Yeah, the witty one-liners and wise cracks filled my appetite for comedy in the movies. I think Bride probably maxed out on the comedy aspect (in a good way) for me.

I wish Ronny Yu directed Seed. He was responsible for taking out all the stupid, Seed-like humor from the Bride script.

May I ask what Seed like humor was in the script?

He took out the "Sorry Jack, three's a crowd" line Chucky was to say to John Ritter. Chucky pissed himself in the Damien scene. There was a lot more gayness in the script that Ronny Yu thought was no good.

I've heard about the John Ritter one liner (which I honestly don't think was that bad) but I never heard of the Damien scene. Where did you hear about that?

Oh it's a bad line. It's too cute. I forgot where, but it was from some interview long ago with one of the crew members.
