This thread is basically to talk about how Bride pushed Chucky into mainstream status. Not saying he wasn't already an Icon in his own right... but even I would question if he was at the same caliber of the other well known slasher before this film came out.
After this movie was released there was no question that Chucky was now a pop culture icon. Of course the first 3 movie is ehat made this film possible in the first place... but this movie had a spark the previous films did not.
For starters... the money that was pumped into it. They had a cast of known stars, a great director, and the puppet effects were much improved. NTM this movie also had a soundtrack with mainstream music. So they knew this had to be special.
I just wish following film had the same quality. :/

Yeah, but it also paved the way for Seed, lol, so I view it as a mixed bag. I mea yeah it boosted Chucky into the limelight, but it did it for all the wrong reasons in my opinion, especially the comedy aspect because now us old fans sound retarded because we like pure horror, lol.

BRIDE IS AWESOME BRO But yeah, this definitely helped make Chucky a pop culture icon. He was even nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain the year after Bride, lol.
