Also his fear of dying in the first film. That alone shows that he believes that there is some form of afterlife or fear of none. Usually an atheist would have no quams about there being nothing on the side... Chucky didn't act like there would nothing.

Also I think in the case of Barn it was done more for irony seeing as how she boasts religion yet lives such an anti religious lifestyle.

If you note in CP1, when talking to John, Chucky mentioned how he thought all the voodoo stuff was garbage until it worked. So maybe he was atheist beforehand. Then again, maybe the voodoo chant has Disney rules and only works if you believe.
