But overall I still just prefer his one-liners in the first 3.

Definitely. I loved both Bride and Seed, but I thought Bride was funnier. Chucky is one of those characters who can do both horror and comedy, and make it work. One of the reasons Bride is both my favorite Chucky movie, and my favorite movie, period, is because Bride has a perfect blend of horror and comedy.
