When I first saw this film there was no doubt in my mind that there was going to be a sequel. Chucky was an instant star in the slasher genre and just in time too as that era was dying down.
I just think about how when a new movie comes out now we all speculate about how hell look based on the damage he took in the previous film. Of course there is always emphasis on the scars.
But just think about how messed up he became in this movie. One could speculate that there was no coming back from this or if he did... he wouldn't be the same fresh looking doll. But he did.
Also... I always felt this charred look is enough to give the toughest of men nightmares. Am I right?

In one word... Yes.
I still have the odd nightmare now.
It's the way Andy notices he's gone from the living room, then he sticks his leg out and trips him up.
Freaky

Definitely. And I agree, I don't really understand why the people on the side for stitched can't see that there's 2 times where his body is completely destroyed, but he comes back fresh.
When Andy saw his charred body was gone, definitely a freaky scene, and how he was so scared he couldn't even really scream.

I was freaked out... especially when he said "Hello Andy"
Which BTW the effects in this film still seem far superior than the rest.

Yeah that part where he greeted Andy, that part was just some freaky stuff right there. He really sounded fed up with everything at that point.

I used to think charred chucky would attack me in the basement of my house. I had a real nightmare on elm street boiler room/playroom down there. That was what made me afraid of all horror movies. Once we redid it I wasn't afraid.
