I remember reading once somewhere that Chucky had an abusive Childhood and one day he snapped and strangled his mother, or something like that. I think I read it on Wikipedia and if I remember correctly it said that was mentioned in one of the Chucky comics. If this is true I would really like to know what comic it is where maybe I can find it and read it myself.
Anyway, What is your theory? What do you think that made Chucky a killer? Or even Tiffany for that matter. I know it's never been explained for the both of them but I would love to hear your thoughts or theories.

This was mentioned in the novel version of CP2, which isn't too hard to find online (I got mine for $40, but have seen it anywhere from $15-$80).
The book pretty much gives a solid backstory of how Charles Lee Ray's mom was a "little person", but I don't think she was like a legal midget or something, just extremely short. The father is never really mentioned much. The mother pretty much despises Charles and his father, as well as other "normals" because of their height. She is a drunk and would often verbally abuse and sometimes physically abuse Charles, who just took it for the most part, but he kind of had the inner-rage going on. Then one rainy night, during one of his mom's routine drunken abuse sessions, he snaps, and grabs her around the neck and strangles her with great ease. He then proceeds to put her in a garbage bag (that's how small she was), and bury her in the park on that rainy night. He also mentioned how he didn't really care if anyone saw him burying this bag, because it was kind of a shady area, and he would have no problem killing them too.
I am not even kidding on any of this either, it's very interesting to say the least, and kind of fits with him being a tiny little doll, lol.

I hate to say it but it fits in with Curse and why he wanted a structured family unit ao much... because it's somwthing he didn't have. I can also see this as a reason why he got enraged when Tiffany said she was leaving him and taking Glen woth her... albeit Seed going for the comedy aspect.
I said this before but I'll say it again... I also wonder how this played on the fact that he was now a short person in the form of a doll. Almost like bad karma hit him in the face.

No problem, that's about all the back story you get from the books. I think there might have been reference to Eddoe Caputo, but that's all.

This is very intresting, your right Doctor. This exsplains why he said: I always had a thing for familys. We might here abought this in the next film. :') The only problem with this is that the books are usually written by others who add their own interpretations... so this might not be in cannon with anything Don has ever written or had a thought on. However... this could have been in an earlier draft that Don had allowed this company to make a book based off of so you can never tell. That's the only bad thing about when things are produced on early works... they lead to inaccuracy. Like many of the new Optimus Prime figures having the chest design from early works of the CGI model... where now the finalized CGI model has a different chest. This stuff happens all the time.

True, But I'm just gonna hold on to this till Don shows us something different.

Yeah that is one reason to take what the books say woth a grain of salt. I mean it doesn't change anything from the movie, but it adds stuff, like the backstory. But since it is published and licensed with the rights to the series, I can go with what the book says as opposed to what random people think on the internet.

I agree with you on that, what is published in those books I personally will take with more consideration because I guess we can consider those books a legitimate part of the franchise. Anybody can write anything on the internet...and I've seen some weird theories.

I would love for Chucky's backstory to be revealed one day and if anybody is going to do it,it has to be Don since he created him. Hopefully it will happen in a future sequel or the remake if it ever happens. I think Tiffany and Glen are the only people in his life that he has ever cared for and loved even if he would not admit it. He had the perfect chance to have a family and be happy but I am pretty sure that he knew in his mind and in his heart it would never happen because of what his mom did to him. Chucky is probably the only horror icon that does not have a backstory and usually the less we know about the monster, the scarier he is but I say sooner or later the backstory will be revealed.
