What did you guys think of Chucky's new stitched look. I actually like it and it's kinda surreal because aside from his face the rest of him looked pristine.
I of course prefer him being unstiched but it was kinda cool seeing him in full on Good Guy mode with stitches on him.
Also I wonder what is the story behind it. Many say that obviously Tiffany helped him come back but that she took his head from Seed and put it on a Good Guy body. I can buy this but then I think about how his stapled hair has been rerooted and how the exposed metal skull fragments are now covered.
So was she going to full restore him then got lazy... who knows.... maybe she found a new Good Guy and added the stitches herself since she recognizes Chucky that way.

I liked the stitched look as well, but I think I would've preferred him to have been unstitched throughout the whole film. Maybe Tiffany added more hair to him in certain spots, but covered the staples with the latex prosthetics somehow or some other method. Also, I wonder how she managed to make him to where he couldn't bleed and how his head was attachable to the good guy body. If she was the one who did this, she sure went through some effort..

It really just didn't make since to me other than what you said about maybe someone got lazy when rebuilding him.

This really is a good topic! Lets see...... Maybe she was in the makes of filling all the cuts but then ran out of matereal and used some thing else to cover the stiches and cuts with. And that somthing else is what barb was picking at.

I like the first unstitched look more. Doesn't make much sense to have Bride and Seed look in this chapter again.

Personally I feel it should have been a one and done in Bride but that is just my personal opinion.
As far as his look in Curse, we know it was done by Don to appease all fans.
Still, it really effected the story and amazing how a small detail like that can throw off an unspoken plot.
We can assume his ressurection without seeing it or having it explained... no problem. Him having a clean Good Guy appearance only to reveal his stitched face... Now this brings ups so many questions without any logical answers.
Personally, I think the latex applications were done afterwards. If they were applied before, I think they would have become part of his face on a biological level. Kind of like how he basically got new skin in Child's Play 2.
So the disguise was an after thought, and naturally if you're mailing a doll to a person's house, you would want it to look as unsuspicious as possible. Except for Andy, he is already expecting Chucky to attack regardless of how he looks.
I think the stiches were added by Tiffany to a new Good Guy doll. To her... That's what makes Chucky "Chucky". That's the doll she knows.
Also it's the look he had when his story hit Hollywood in the previous film. As much as I despise Seed, it is cannon and we do have to look at how outsider's to the urban legend would view Chucky.
The part where Barb peeled away his prosthetics was to kind of signify "Oh shit. This isn't a normal doll. I'm fucked" type of feeling for both her and the audience.
Again... Just my humble opinion.

I pretty much agree with all of that, really touches base on all the different angles.
