Does that movie seem to stand out or feel kinda different than the previous 5?

Different in the sense it's trying to return to horror after being comedy, and also different because Chucky got away.

It's also just one setting. I guess Seed kind of took place in Tilly's house for the most part, but it still varied a bit.

I think it felt different overall.
Atmosphere: Dark, rainy, classic horror setting. Wouldn't be the first time is thunder stormed in a Chucky film but it was more in the foreground and almost acting like a character in itself where in other films it went unnoticed because it did set the tone in the same fashion.
Setting: Yes... the house was something different. Also for the fact that this was the event's of one day was also something that gave the film a different feel.
Tone: Well after seeing comical Chucky... we're we prepared to bounce back. Also... was this going to be the same Chucky we once knew in the older movies... or is this an entirely new evil Chucky. I want to say a bit of both. Also he seemed much more confident in his efforts this time around. Almost like he was a professional killer doll instead of a haphazard one like in previous films.
Chucky's Look: This was major. Us hoping he was unstitched... got a real surprise especially seeing him in an entirely new design. It was a little hard to take in at first but overall it got the point across that Classic Chucky was back. Those hoping for the stitched look got a bigger surprise. Not only was he stitched but his stitch pattern had changed too. Aside from leaving many questions... I kinda like this stitched look over the other two on some level.
Characters: Okay... 25 years and 5 films... w hi were these people? Aside from us having questions about Tiffany whilst he had a love interest in Sarah... it was neat how they integrated these new people into a vital point of his personal history. Of course... they left Tiffany in the loop and forgot about Eddie Caputo... but an imaginative mind can fit thise pieces in.
Homages Galore: Despite the continuity errors and his odd look this time around... Don did a good job at giving us a full on horror in the form of Chucky... and yiu can't beat the little homages to the previous films... especially CP1.
