I don't know if legally the production companies would allow that to happen, let alone Don. I remember reading a few years ago that they were going to be releasing two films back to back, or at the same time. One being a direct sequel to Seed to wrap up that franchise, and the other to present the remake and new vision for Chucky's future. I mean if he was initially going to be involved in both projects, and have Brad on board to do the voice work for both... then he can pretty much do what he wants. It would be kinda weird to see a remake then a sequel after that continuing the original franchise. That would be like as if some hot shot decided to make "A Nightmare on Elm Street 7" with Robert Englund despite there being a remake of the first film floating around out there. Actually... I bet it would bring in bigger box office numbers then the remake did just because it would be so out of left field. lol. |

If they did do a remake for Child's Play 1 thru 3... I would say wait until 2040 or so...after a long time has passed. However, I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better voice for Chucky than Brad Dourif. Brad would be 90 in 2040!
However, I wouldn't want to see 'Bride' thru 'Curse' remade. In my mind, the series lived it's life with the conclusion of CP3. However, if they did remake the series a long time from now, it would be cool to see a CP4 that's more in line with the storyline and mythology of CP1-3, and without a stitched look.
Please don't call me a hater because I'm not fond of 'Bride','Seed', and 'Curse'. Although, 'Curse' doesn't bug me as much as the other two.
I'm a die-hard fan of the original trilogy. I'm 27, and I want a 1:1 100% screen accurate Good Guy doll that says Good Guy phrases. It takes a great movie to make you want a memento. It would be fun to pretend that it's alive. lol  |
