Okay, so for those of you who have watched "Cult of Chucky" as we know Chucky learned a new Voodoo technique which allows him to possess more than one person/object at one time.
First I will say, not a fan of the evening explanation they gave us as to how he acquired it. Voodoofordummies.com is not cool. I understand Don's dislike for the voodoo element that was brought in by CP1 director Tom Holland... but it's there, it isn't going away, make it more legit.
Still, this is what we got. With that, I would like to know to what extent can Chucky use this voodoo. My fiancee had suggested that maybe he can only do it for a temporary period of time and that eventually his dispersed soul will still have to formulate in one body... Seems plausible. Another idea she had was that his bodies would have to be within a certain range, again possible... But one thing debunks both of these theories... The living head at Andy's cabin.
The hear is both still on going and far from other parts of Chucky's soul this is out the window.
I still have yet to find a weakness on this.
Also, I have a theory as to when he discovered this new technique. I think it was after the time he transferred into Alice, but before arriving at Andy's house. I say this because the chant he used on Alice was the old one. Why not use the new one then?
As Alice, he discovered it, tested on the left over doll from Curse, sent that to Andy's house.
I also notice that there seems to be a level of more pain tolerance and invulnerability with this. Andy shot the shorthaired Chucky a number of time including the head but he was still pretty much alive. Same goes with his head, we've seen him die from less.
I had a hive mind theory, like they all know what is going on and can think as one brain, but Spanky helped debunk that one because again... head at Andy's cabin... Would have communicated to the other Chucky's of Andy's arrival.
Last, the Chucky doll that transferred into Nica, was just laying on the floor next to the Doctor. He used the new chant but this seemed more like a soul transfer. Then the one armed doll at the end sat down and went "doll mode" but if felt more like the soul vacated the doll.
So is this another ability, can Chucky extract the dispersed souls, and with them, their knowledge since they're all technically the same person.
I will admit, this move has me so confused. I know Don wanted to do the multiple dolls thing for a long time, but I can only hope that this is something they don't abuse to death, and give us a solid explanation in the next movie.
Curse left us with a lot of questions. Little was answered in this movie, like what happened to Alice. We assumed Chucky failed hence being mailed to Andy's house. Apparently he did not.
Still would like to know why he didn't bleed in the last movie yet a doll that just awoke has blood and intestines. Probably small detail oversights, but it would be great if we can get something on that to tie it all together.
