VENGEANCE OF CHUCKY

EXT. ROAD – DAY
A silver car rides along a suburban road. The car slows as it reaches the driveway of a yellow house with paint samples on the exterior.
The car stops as ALEC and MONIKA step out of the car and walk to the trunk.
MONIKA
It’s so nice down here! It was so nice for your parents to let us stay here for a few weeks!
{ALEC opens the trunk revealing two large suitcases}
ALEC
{Taking out the suitcases, handing one to MONIKA}
Tell me about it!
{Closing the trunk}
They are going to be in Mexico until august so they asked me if I would house sit for them.
ALEC and MONIKA walk towards the front door. ALEC is jumbling his keys and picks up the right one.
MONIKA
Hey, look, you have a package!
ALEC
{Looking up}
Huh? Oh, I guess so. Must’ve arrived after my parent’s left.
MONIKA
{Picking up the package}
It’s quite heavy. I wonder what they ordered.
ALEC
{Unlocking the door and leading MONIKA in.}
Who knows, could be a radio, speaker, I don’t know.
MONIKA
{Laughing}
It’s too light, couldn’t be a speaker.
ALEC
{Walking into kitchen}
I was just throwing stuff out there. They’re my parents, so who knows.
MONIKA
{Putting the package down on the granite counter}
We should open it!
MONIKA grabs a kitchen knife from the holder. ALEC moves to stop her.
ALEC
The package isn’t ours, we should put it in their bedroom and leave it for when they get back.
MONIKA
{Moving past ALEC}
C’mon Alec! Live on the wild side. We’ll open it, then we’ll put it in their room. No harm done!
ALEC moves in agreement. MONIKA begins opening the package,
ALEC
Wait, who is it from?
MONIKA
{Checking the front of the box}
It doesn’t say. Oh well.
MONIKA begins cutting the tape on the box. MONIKA opens the flaps of the box. A smiling red haired doll is looking back at them.
ALEC looks questionably at the doll.
ALEC
{Picking up the doll}
This is odd. Why would my parents order a good guy doll?
MONIKA
{Taking the doll from ALEC}
Maybe they wanted to feel nostalgic? Didn’t you have a Good guy doll?
ALEC
Yeah, I got rid of that a long time ago.
ALEC and MONIKA walk to the beige couch. MONIKA sits the doll in the corner.
MONIKA
Hi! I’m Monika, what’s your name?
CHUCKY
Hi, I’m Chucky, I’m your friend til’ the end, Hidey hoo ha ha ha.
ALEC
{Laughing}
Just like I remember!
CUT TO:
INT. CAR – DAY
DAVID and TISH are sitting in the front seat of the car. TISH looks unhappily at DAVID who is checking himself in the mirror.
TISH
Are you sure Alec won’t mind if we just invite ourselves on his visit home?
DAVID
{Closes the mirror and looks at TISH}
Will you shut the fuck up? All you’ve done is complain the whole way here. Alec won’t mind if we drop by. Knowing him, we will get wasted and stay the night any way. So, just sit back and don’t say another god damn word. Got it?
TISH sits back in the seat.
TISH
Whatever.
DAVID unlocks the door, DAVID and TISH both get out of the car and walk towards the door.
DAVID
{Knocking}
CUT TO:
ALEC
{Looking toward the door}
Someone must be at the door. I’ll get it.
ALEC gets up from the couch. MONIKA is following him with her eyes.
ALEC
{Opening the door}
Who is it?
ALEC opens the door. DAVID quickly moves to hug him. TISH stands awkwardly in the back ground.
ALEC
{Surprised}
David? Tish? What are you guys doing here?
DAVID
[Releasing ALEC from his hold}
We heard you were coming back into town, and wanted to stop by!
MONIKA approaches from behind ALEC. A surprised look spreads across her face.
MONIKA
{Rushing toward TISH}
Oh my god, Tish! It has been a long time!
MONIKA hugs TISH. TISH laughs and hugs her back.
TISH
You look great, I didn’t know you came back into town as well!
MONIKA
{Releasing TISH}
I rode back with Alec. I figured I’d keep him company.
CUT TO:
CHUCKY sits in the corner of the couch, his eyes move toward the noise coming from the front door.
DAVID
{Patting ALEC’S shoulder}
Can we come in and hang out for a while?
ALEC
Yes, come on in!
ALEC moves to the side as DAVID and TISH walk in. MONIKA follows.
DAVID walks to the fridge and opens it. He looks for a second and then closes it. ALEC, MONIKA, and TISH sit on the couch. DAVID joins them.
DAVID
{Sits next to CHUCKY}
So how have you been?
ALEC
School’s fine. Life is –ok. I got that job is was telling you about last week.
TISH looks as if she is going to speak, but quickly settles back into her spot.
CHUCKY looks over at TISH.
CHUCKY
Hey, wanna play?
DAVID jumps a little. MONIKA laughs at him.
DAVID
What the hell?
{He picks up CHUCKY}
Why the hell do you have a Good Guy?
MONIKA
It was here when we got here.
TISH
It’s really creepy. Why did it talk just then?
ALEC looks at MONIKA. They both giggle a little bit.
ALEC
Good Guy dolls are voice activated. David, let me see him.
{DAVID hands CHUCKY to ALEC}
Watch. Hi, I’m Alec, What’s your name?
CHUCKY’S head turns to face him.
CHUCKY
Hi, I’m Chucky, I’m your friend til’ the end, Hidey hoo ha ha ha.
TISH shifts uncomfortably in her spot.
DAVID
Does he scare you, Tish?
TISH nods. DAVID laughs a bit, then gets up from his spot.
DAVID
I’ve gotta take a piss.
DAVID walks off. The bathroom door closes.
MONIKA
{Looking over at TISH}
So, Tish, how have you been?
TISH
I -I’ve been fine. Everything lately has been busy. David and I are, trying, and we’ve had no luck.
ALEC
I’m sure it will happen sooner or later. You just got into college, you two have your whole lives ahead of you.
TISH laughs silently. The bathroom door opens and DAVID walks out. He rubs his wet hands on his shirt and walks back to fridge and opens it again.
DAVID
Yo, Alec, your parents got any booze around here?
ALEC puts down CHUCKY and faces DAVID’S direction.
ALEC
Look behind some stuff, I just got here, so I don’t know.
DAVID moves things in the fridge. He finds a bottle of beer and opens it. He walks back to the couch and begins drinking.
Outside, the skies darken and thunder can be heard in the distance.
DAVID
Well, shit. It looks like it’s going to rain.
CHUCKY looks over at the large glass door. His pupils grow slowly.
Rain begins to graze the surface of the pool, and starts falling harder.
ALEC
There goes a nice day at home.
MONIKA gets up from her seat on the couch and grabs CHUCKY.
MONIKA
{Holding CHUCKY}
I might as well go put this somewhere. Alec, where should I-
ALEC
{Interrupting}
Go set him in the laundry room.
ALEC points in the direction of the laundry room. MONIKA walks to the room. She enters and sits CHUCKY on the counter then leaves, closing the door behind her.
CHUCKY’S eyes move toward the door. His head follows.
MONIKA sits back on the couch.
DAVID
{Finishing his beer}
So what do you guys wanna do? Can’t just sit here all day.
ALEC
We could play some board games. I don’t remember what they have, I could go look.
ALEC gets up from the couch and walks to the stair cellar.
DAVID
{Turns to MONIKA}
So, are you and Alec fuck-buddies?
MONIKA
That’s disgusting. No, we are not.
MONIKA crosses her arms and sits back.
TISH
{Hits DAVID’S arm}
You can’t ask someone that. It’s rude!
ALEC returns holding Clue. He sits down on the couch and puts his hands on his hips.
ALEC
I think we should play this. Im ready to kick all of your asses!
DAVID, MONIKA, and TISH get up from their spots on the couch and follow ALEC out to the dining room.
ALEC sets up the game and the other three sit down.
CUT TO:
The laundry room handle begins to turn and the door opens a bit.
CUT TO:
TISH
{Picking up the figurine}
I want to be Mrs. Peacock!
DAVID
T will be colonel mustard.
MONIKA
I guess I’ll be Ms. Scarlett
ALEC
I will always be Mrs. White!
The group puts their pawns in the center of the board and begin to play.
CUT TO:
A small hand reaches for a butcher knife from the knife holder.
CUT TO:
The game is under way. The power suddenly goes out, leaving the room dark. The rain can be heard pelting the roof.
