This should be interesting.

Damn, that intrigues me because I think the previous 3 movies had some of the goriest scenes in the franchise.
Like in "Bride of Chucky" when David gets turned into hamburger meat by the semi truck. Officer Kincaid gets shot in the face with nails, and Officer Bailey gets his throat cut.
In "Seed of Chucky", Tony gets his head cut off, Joan gets burnt alive, Redman gets disemboweled.
In "Curse of Chucky", Barb gets her eyeball stabbed and squished, Ian gets his jaw chopped off, and Sarah gets preggo-stabbed. Not to mention Tiffany slicing Stanton's throat.
I don't think anything that gory happened in the first 3 films, at least not to an human character.

I too noticed the films have become progressively more gory than the previous one.
Amazing how the original is still the scariest. Lol.
In all seriousness, I actually don't mind then doing more on the gore factor because it's a testament to how skilled Chucky has become over the years.
As long as their using tangible fx, I am down. Lots of things looks great in CGI, gore is not one of them.

Yeah, every horror franchise gets gorier as they go on, so it doesn't surprise me that they're making Cult the goriest of the series.
And yeah, CGI blood and gore sucks, lol.

CGI gore does suck. Just look at the first Blade movie with blood bombs. Fucking terrible.

To be fair, that was 1998, and it's still better than some of the stuff we see today.
One thing I hope they stick with in "Cult of Chucky" is practical effects. I did not like the amount of CGI used for Chucky in "Curse of Chucky". I honestly preferred how they did the original where they used a little person and a set that was 33% oversized.

Don said that they make Chucky look more close to the original (no scars in this movie!).

<< Mancini assures the audience that he’s listened to fans – those wrongfully critical of Chucky’s look in Curse – and made a conscious effort to bring back the classic look of Chucky. While Tilly says Chucky “looks amazing in this movie,” Mancini explains that they “really finessed it.” >>

I wonder how they'll explain how Chucky has no stitches in Cult.

I wonder how they'll explain how Chucky has no stitches in Cult. Like every movie: he'll will born again, and no explain. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Pretty much, lol. I guess they'll either do the rubber make up like they did in Curse, or they'll have Chucky transfer his soul into a brand new Good Guy doll.

At this point we can just assume Chucky gets a new body, and it's probably the easiest explanation.
Curse made it confusing with him having a stitched face, but everything else new.
I am willing to write off Curse if they bring back Chucky having blood.

Yeah, that was kind of a weird change for him to not bleed or anything.
