There are many quotes in Curse from the b-movie Dolly Dearest (1991), the line "It's time to play", "Play with this" (in Dolly Dearest is "Play With This, bitch!") and the scene when Daniele Bisutti kisses the doll at the beginning. I think it's Don's revenge for a movie that stole ideas from Child's Play
