God I hope he's unstitched because I don't care how "badass" it makes him look to be all stitched, it just simply doesn't make any damn since to have a doll like that around for people to think "is just a doll", hence why they did the cover-up in Curse, lol. But on the other hand, I hope they don't do the same trick twice and have him covered up in this one.
It's extremely simple, and fits in the continuity of the storyline - Andy blew him to pieces 6 months after Curse. This movie takes place 4 years after Curse. That gives Tiffany 3.5 years to make him whole again.

I second this, the stiched look had it's time and place. I have said a number of times and will say it again... From a writing standpoint, it backs you in a corner. It's much easier to have him coming back a new looking doll because we can safely assume his soul got put into a new one, instead of Tiffany or whoever having to refurbish the same looking doll all the time.
Of course there are those ppl... "Good Guy dolls were from the 80's. How can he come back since they don't make those anymore"
It's called eBay ppl.
Anyway, I wonder what kind of budget this movie will get. I know Curse wasn't theater worthy, but it appeared to do very well being a straight to video release. If they get more money then this film has so much more potential. They just need to stay away from CGI this time. Use it to accent stuff background stuff but not as a main scene shot like when Chucky was walking down stairs in Curse. A little person in a suit with an oversized set would have been more effective.

Yeah, getting a new doll isn't really the hardest thing to figure out in this one.
And I agree, hopefully they cut back with CGI. I'm wondering how Brad's voice will sound because in Curse it sounded very hoarse and raspy, which isn't bad necessarily, just threw me off a little.

Well he is up there in age. Which is another reason why I am wondering this is going to be the last one. Of course Brad is in good health for his age, but I can't see him doing the voice overs for a few more movies.
I'd like to see him retire while he's still got it.

In bride it made sense to be stitched as Tiffany only had access to part of Chuckys face.
This time we know she has access to his arm (from the ending of seed) so technically no need to be stitches if she uses the arm to recreate him.
Not that continuity has been a big factor in the past.
