I have my doubts because usually these "_____ of Chucky" titles mean something directly related to the film. Bride and Seed are obvious, and Curse I think more or less refers to Chucky taking down Nica's family, is not Nica's "curse" of being paralyzed her whole life. So "Cult of Chucky" makes me think it would be like some satanic cult that worships Chucky, does copycat killings, etc., which I don't know if I want to see that personally, because in my opinion, Chucky is best when flying solo.
On the other hand, if it dealt with the voodoo aspect, Damballa, etc., I am extremely interested, but I don't think Don was too big a fan of that stuff? Not sure, but it should be interesting to see how it pans out if that's the title because it seems like most people have just assumed it's "Revenge of Chucky" for the next movie, which honestly doesn't make much sense either, because he got most of his revenge in Curse. In fact, Curse was the only movie in the franchise that didn't end up Chucky losing, at least in the main part of the movie. It's been argued that the post-credits scene with Andy is non-canon and just a "fan service", which I personally disagree with.

My first thought was that it would invoke a cult of Chucky worshippers and I can't say I would be excited about that.

YEah I have finally gotten the chance to look into what this new one will be about and the story line sounds neat, just the name is bad. Honestly I wish they would go back to being called Child's Play or something

An ultimate title would have been "Child's Play of Chucky" lol.
After reading the synopsis, I can get behind the name. Here is why.
It has Andy, Tiffany, and Nica. The major characters to survive Chucky. Also each one represents the different phases through out the franchise.
Yeah, there are other survivors like Karen Barclay, Detective Norris, Tyler, Jesse & Jade.
Granted Jesse & Jade are the only protagonists not returning, but they can be written off and even at that, in more ways Tiffany was a bigger focus and both a support to Chucky and a victim of Chucky's on more than one occasion and in two movies.
In one film we're getting the people whose lives were affected by his actions the most. Also, whether if it's love or hate, these are the people who obsessed over him the most. At least assuming Nica has ever since the events of Curse since apparently she's been in an asylum and had 4 years to do nothing but think.
This can potentially be epic or a complete failure, but color me more excited than I was a before hearing the news this morning.
Also with these major characters appearing, can we expect this being the finite film in the series?
I will say I am glad to know that it is taking place in real time, and not in that 6 month time span from the last movie. Now we don't know what to expect as far as an ending goes, which is good.
Also gives me hope that the Good Guy we saw is going to be the doll in the film. Unstiched, looks like the actual fool from the first movie, and Alterion has proven they can make a Kevin Yeager styled puppet.
If this is Chucky's last hurrah, it looks like he maybe going out in style.
Now... The wait, and so glad to be a Chucky Fan at this time.

I just hope they don't kill Andy off, or worse yet, make him some jarhead commando type because he went to military school.
I'm gonna guess a plot twist right now - Nica could walk the entire time.

Plot twist, Tiffany ends up helping Andy and Nica but dies in the process.
Plot twist 2, Andy and Nica end up together. Which works out because they're both Chucky survivors, due to his Childhood being such a nightmare, he can't get it up, but Nica doesn't mind because she can't feel anything from the waist down anyway.
I heard a rumour about some Cult that worships Damballa and they transfer their souls in dolls like Chucky.
I hope this isn't true.
