Tuesday night I decided to take off work and spend the day with my girlfriend and her kids. Since Halloween is right around the corner what better way to spend a night in than to watch a Horror movie.
So we watched Curse of Chucky.
Now maybe it's because of my blind faith in the product that prevented me from seeing this before but sitting down with ppl who are watching it for the first time really changes perspective.
For starters. There is a scene where Nica is not only not wearing the same clothes in the scene that shortly follows after but she is clearly WALKING.
My gf's 10 year old picked this out right away.
My gf spotted how Jill was being electricuted at the same camera angle on Barbs laptop as we were seeing it, how Chucky's reflection wasn't reversed imaged in his knife, how Alice was in a scene on the nanny cam feed where when she initially never showed up in the actual scene we saw, how Chucky was in "stitch face" in the flashback of Sarah's death, and Ian having varying hair lengths and styles throughout the film.
There is also a part where Chucky is looking at Ian and Nica going into the garage and it clearly looks like someone is just holding the doll and turning it's whole body to make it look like he's keeping his eyes on Ian.
After seeing all this myself it does leave one feeling like that they could have done a bit more to make things look sharp. Of course we all know I don't have to go into details with the shitty CGI.
Don't get me wrong. It's not like they didn't enjoy the film nor let these things take away from the good the movie does do. The kids loved it and gave it a thumbs up and my girlfriend said it was better than the last two films combined.
Still, I can't help but have that sense of how the mighty has fallen.

Walking? Hmm, never picked that up. But kids can literally pick up anything.

In all fairness we watched it on Netflix which has the R Rated version. Maybe these small parts aren't on the Unrated Version perhaps.
I haven't watched Curse as much as the others to notice these things and it was the first time watching any film in over a year so perhaps I just missed these things.

Yeah, I've heard the walking goof be pointed out. All of these seem to just be little continuity errors, I'd say.

I'll have to look for the walking next time I watch Curse.

I believe it's near the beginning of the movie when Nica checks Sarah's room after Nica hears her scream, and the way Nica is positioned, and later when she leaves the room, it looks like she's standing.

That's the exact scene. Not only that but in that scene she appears to be wearing a green sweater then comes down the elevator in a white sleeveless nightgown.

My friend thought he saw her stand in the elevator after she checks Sarah's room. I did not see it.

you can see many errors in movies, especially in b-movies and VOD. There are many errors in the first 3 Chucky movies as well.

Did nobody notice how, when Nica makes it to the elevator in between power outages near the end of the movie, she actually moves her legs inside the elevator as she pulls the door closed?
The film is full of unintended goofs but, digging deep enough, you'll find That with every movie

True. Just look at the first Ninja Turtle movie from 1990. Big budget for it's time, huge success in the box office. At least when I was a kid in NY the lines to see it went on for blocks, I had to wait a week or two after it came out.
Yet, that movie has some of the cheapest FX and editing errors more than any other film I've seen. Lol

Yeah but that movie still rules

No doubt. Actually it was the only thing close the the original comic book than any other iteration of the Ninja Turtles.
But yeah, a lot of films had editing flaws. Even the original Terminator. Only one, other wise the film is seamless and still holds up well today.
