So I'm watching Bride on Chiller TV, a horror oriented channel, and I'm noticing that they seem to be showing some kind of alternate version of Bride. The opening scene starts a bit different, with a scene featuring Officer Bailey (the cop that Tiffany kills) and another cop. The scene with Jesse, Jade, and David in the car at the beginning is also extended, with Jesse mentioning that he and Jade are celebrating their anniversary. Maybe I'll see more extended scenes as the movie goes along.
Maybe it's that IMAX version? Or maybe it's some extended version? If anybody's interested, I can probably try and videotape those extended scenes and show you guys and gals. Does anybody else know about this particular cut of the movie?

One scene I remember that was different was a scene with the copse in the opening. Bailey was trying to get the other out of the evidence holding, and he mentioned donuts, and the cop was like "no thanks" and Bailey was literally "yolo". I can't be the only one who remembers this.

Knew it. Could have sworn I saw that version on VHS the first time I saw the movie, but who knows?

Yeah, it certainly isn't on my DVD or Blu-Ray copies of the movie, lol. It's pretty weird, because I've seen this movie practically hundreds of times, and seeing alternate versions of scenes is pretty cool.
And yeah, maybe it could be on the VHS version for all I know, lol. When the movie was starting, it did have a bit of a grainy look to it. Maybe if anybody here has a VHS copy of the film, could we possibly get some confirmation?

So I was able to get some footage of the new scenes in question. Apologies for the rather poor quality, but I think it gets the job done.
They consist of three scenes, the first scene being the scene between the two cops that Spanky was talking about earlier. The second scene is an extended scene of Jesse, Jade, and David driving near the beginning of the film. Also interestingly, not only does Jesse mention that that night is he and Jade's anniversary, but Jesse also mentions that the bracelet that he gives Jade has been in his family for generations, at least that's what the social workers tell him, indicating that Jesse is some sort of troubled teen or something. The third scene takes place at the Honeymoon Suites hotel, and it's just a brief scene basically consisting of them questioning whether the other is a killer or not. I felt these scenes were pretty interesting, especially the second scene. I really wish they would have made it onto the DVD or Blu-Ray as deleted scenes or something.

Hmm, of all the times I've seen this movie on TV I've never seen the added scenes. Pretty interesting

What this reminds me of is the "Halloween II" TV cut, where they add in several minor scenes and they cut out the violence and language.

I remember renting the VHS version and then getting it for Christmas later that year.
These scenes weren't on either one but it is possible that depending on which company made and distributed copies might depend on which have added scenes or not.
I only say this because I've heard some VHS tapes of CP2 have the deleted/alternate scenes. None of mine did so who knows?
