Was Jennifer In Tiffany's Doll Body When Chucky Killed Her?

So I was thinking about Seed earlier today for some reason, and I got to thinking about Tiffany's death scene in the hospital near the end of the film.


I think that Jennifer was in Tiffany's body when the death scene happened.


I think as soon as Tiffany said "Switch!", that's when the body transfer occurred and Jennifer was transferred into Tiffany's doll body as soon as Chucky struck her head with an axe. Also, Tiffany's body transfer in Bride seemed to be rather quick. The lines afterwards also seem like Jennifer is talking ("Don't make the same mistakes your mother and father did" rather than "Don't make the same mistakes me and your father did" or "Don't make the same mistakes your father and I did"). Also, "Jennifer's" actions seem more like things Tiffany would do (sliding Glen/Glenda the axe so he/she could kill Chucky and "Jennifer" comforting Glen/Glenda). Those actions come off to me more as Tiffany than Jennifer, TBH.



So is this a little plausible? Or am I just thinking too hard about this?

Well I've stated something about this before in other threads, but like that end scene confirms that Tiffany was in Jennifer's body, and I assume the chant ending yields a pretty instant result, so yeah. I think that was Jennifer in Tiffany's body because the chant was completed.

That part of the mythios is often disputed because like nobody knows who the chant(s) work. What would have happened if Chucky successfully completed it on Andy? Would they switch bodies? Would Andy cease to exist. I know it's a stretch, but by laws of physics, energy is neither created nor destroyed, so the soul has to go somewhere, lol. And in Seed Tiffany explicitly said "And switch!", which gives up that her and Jennifer are switching bodies.

Tiffany still owns the doll, but is Jennifer's dead soul still in it then? So does she own a dead person?

Most likely. Chucky's soul was apprently somehow still in his dead doll remains in Bride, so I'd imagine a similar situation with Jennifer and the Tiffany doll body happens here.

Maybe not. Chucky is evil and used the Damballa chant so maybe that ties his soul to the host.

Jennifer is innocent and maybe the recipient of the Damballa but didn't use it for herself. Therefore any mortal injury can kill her and her soul is released upon death.
