If Charles Lee Ray supposedly died wearing an amulet and was buried with it, why did he go through all the trouble of trying to transfer his soul into Andy and Tyler? Following the mythology of BOC, it would have made sense if at the start of CP1, Chucky demanded that Karen drive him to New Jersey to get the amulet.
In CP1 Chucky doesn't seem to know how to get out of the doll until he intrudes upon Doctor Death which he then reveals to Chucky about 'transferring your soul to the first person you revealed your true identity to'.
In BOC, Chucky acts like he's known that he needed the amulet all along.
If BOC followed the mythology of the first three films, it would have made sense if Chucky went after Tyler since he is in basically the same body as CP3.
I don't know, it's almost as if the series is divided into two different entities ~ CP1-CP3 being the first entity with it's own rules , and BOC-COC being the second entity with it's own rules.
