Has anybody else wondered about the kind of doll Tiffany bought for Chucky before Tiffany's soul was transferred into there? Was it just a generic doll? It would have been interesting if it was like some female Good Guy Doll from Play Pal Companies, like a Good Girl doll or something, lol.
What did you think about the look as well? I wasn't really too keen on her look before the makeover, lol. Just looks a bit off to me. After the makeover Tiffany gives herself it looks awesome.

It looked like some wedding themed doll. I believe the voice box even had a line about geating married.

I doubt the doll had anything to do with the Good Guy company. It did just seem like a random wedding themed doll, and the voice box said two things - it said "With this ring, I thee wed" when Tiffany set it down in the playpen, and "I promise to honor, love, and cherish, til death do us part" when Chucky was dragging it to the bathroom to kill Tiffany.
I think the doll itself looked pretty before Tiffany came to life in it.

I liked the doll before the make over. Looked more like Jennifer Tilly than it did Tiffany.
If... Jennifer Tilly looked like she was spliced with goblin DNA. Lol. Only when it was alive... it just looked... off.
However I actually wouldn't doubt if it was a Play Pals item. I mean after all, they did invest a ton of money to get the factory reopened. If they couldn't make Good Guy dolls that haf to do something with all that machinery.
Also the Good Guy was just one product... I'd like to think they had more than that one product. Just look at Mr. Sullivan's office. They even made marbles. Lol.

Yeah, it would be interesting, because back in 1985, Hasbro created My Buddy dolls, which may or may not have been one of the inspirations for Chucky. Shortly after, they introduced a female counterpart called Kid Sister. It could be possible that Play Pals produced a female counterpart like that.
I can also see it being a generic wedding doll, like Spanky and sweetface said. It came in a simple white box, and I think it might have less lines than Chucky/Good Guy Doll, at least, what we hear in Bride anyway. So both are plausible, I was just curious as to what people thought about this particular doll, lol.

As ot turned out... Chucky's design predated the My Buddy doll. I know there was a court case in which Hasbro was forced to revise the design of the My Buddy.
I had one of the first ones. It had blonde and a red hat what was stitched in... but I made my dad cut it off. It had blue overalls with red buttons and a shirt similar to Chucky's. Of course the colors were bolder like looking at a pack of Crayons.
I had the doll before watching Child's Play. After watching Child's Play I wanted my mother to dye it's hair red. Lol.
She never fulfilled this request. It pretty much was as close to a Good Guy as you can get.
