I remember I accidentally downloaded this because it was labelled "Child's Play" so I thought it was the actual full length film, turns out I obviously clicked the wrong one haha. I haven't been able to find much information on it other than being performed by Simon Stokes , but judging by the sound, seems like an 80's advertisement song for Child's Play, kind of like that one rap song that was made about Freddy Krueger. Any of you guys ever heard it before?

The first time I heard this I actually thought it was Brad Dourif, haha.
I remember seeing somewhere that this was supposed to be in the credits for the movie but they ended up changing their minds about it. Not sure how true that is.

To my understanding it was supposed to be on the soundtrack of CP1 but that changed because the creators thought it wpuld change the tone of the film. I guess they're right because this is kind of hokey in sound and makes it seem more trendy or comedic.
The only that gets me is that even that far back Chucky was not taken seriously enough.
Also, I like the effort in this tune because it also shows that even back then Chucky was definitely a marketable entity. Let's face it, Chucky was born to be a franchise and an icon.

Yeah just read up a little more and am seeing what you guys are seeing. A song made for the rhe soundtrack. Yeah I don't blame them for changing their mind tbh, it is a little too lighthearted.

It kind of reminds me of "Puttin' On the Ritz" by Taco. Lol.

I like those 80's synthesized jazz tunes. "One Night in Bangkok" is by far the best.

Anyone else notice how most of the lyrics follow the movie plot but then there are others that don't? Like Chucky coming to life to Andy in a situation that sounds similar to the way he came to life to Karen, or Chucky trying to say he was possessed. I wonder if that was some stuff that was originally going to be in the movie but got changed... or it was just an attempt to make a lame song rhyme.
