If we were to look at Chucky as a horror icon where do you think he honestly ranks in the eyes of all fans both diehard and casual?
Chucky is my all time favorite horror icon but in an unbiased opinion I would say he ranks in at being the 4th or 5th top horror villian. Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers easily takes the top 3 spots. This is just my opinion looking at the horror genre as a whole.

He would be my favorite horror villain, but when I rank him unbiased, he would be 5th.

I think Chucky and Lestherface are neck and neck for the 4th Spot.
Although in a comoletely biased opinion the people behind Texas Chainsaw Massacre are complete whores and did everything to make Leatherface a marketable character when he really should have been one and done IMHO.
Still... the fans like what the fans like so I can see him taking the number 4 spot... but I also want to believe that Chucky is more relevant and remembered by most movie viewers and even those who haven't seen any of the Child's Play films.

Well an important factor for me is the fact Chucky has not been re-made yet, and technically Leprechaun hasn't either. But other than that, I think most slashers have been remade, as for the Texas Chainsaw movies, I think that series has been re-made / rebooted more than once, lol

When looking at wide spread popularity and succes, I say Chucky is a solid 4th. The top three to me would be Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees
