Yeah, it's called Completion Anxiety, very common in males. He is a male, isn't he?

We thought Chucky was a cold blooded individual... but Curse showed us different.
He could have left Kettlewell alive... or he could have thought he killed her but then when cops got there it turned out she starts coughing and is still alive. Now after years of being in a coma she back for revenge in "Kill Chucky"

Or Andy could have hooked up with her. He's into them silver foxes.

Obviously we're supposed to assume she died but I always thought it was a little weird that Andy's teacher being killed was never brought up.

Well the events of CP2 happened so quickly, but I see what you mean. You figure later that night, Phil and Joanne would have gotten a phone call about her being dead, albeit that night they both got killed by Chucky themselves.

Yeah I figure it's due to the fast pace, I just think after finding another dead body related to Andy in someway, it would at least get one mention, and then his adopted parents turning up dead not long after.. maybe they just figured they'd touched on that enough in the first movie and wanted to keep things going.

Well let's see the sequence of deaths:
Factory worker 1 - was written off as an equipment malfunction/accident. Mattison - his body was probably discovered the next day, written off as a random murder. Kettlewell - she wouldn't be discovered until the next day. Didn't look like anybody else was in the school.
Between the time she died and Phil talking to Andy about him running home, it maybe took 30min-1hr?
Then comes later that night, which is "Massacre Night". Phil gets into an "accident", Joanne is quietly dispatched upstairs, Grace is stabbed, and another worker is killed. No one is witness to these events except Kyle and/or Andy or neither.

Yeah I mean essentially once Kettlewell died, this movie really picked up pace and it was nonstop after that. There wasn't really any time for Andy's life to be impacted other than Chucky.

Did they really call Phil's death an accident? Joanne seemed convinced it was Andy.

I think it was more or less Joanne couldn't handle Andy being around anymore. She tried to keep a cool front with how different and troubled he was, and took the brunt of Phil's negativity. I can see how she would blame Andy in some regard because she might think the "Accident" wouldn't have happened if Andy didn't go downstairs to begin with, causing Phil to follow.

Ooh that does make sense, never thought of it like that.

Yeah, like she just lost her husband, because "Andy just couldn't stop", or something like that.

They did actually call it an accident. The paramedic goes "Did anybody else besides the boy witness the accident?"
