Coming in November Seed will officially be 10 years old.
Makes me feel old because it felt like yesterday that this film came out. Of course I wasn't as avid of an internet user back then so I first heard about it when I went to see "The Punisher" and they played the teaser trialer... you know this one.
Of course the tone of this teaser did not match what we ended up with but it was quite a ride regardless. I saw this film twice in theaters because prior to this the only Chucky movie I saw in theaters was CP3. Not seeing Bride was a punishment for costing my dad some money for a high school prank so I lived up what I could of this film. If only Curse was was on the big screen. :/
Still seeing Seed was a fun experience.
So please share your thoughts whether it be build up to seeing this, or if this was your first Chucky experience.

I remember seeing commercials for Seed a lot and thinking it was the weirdest thing ever. Of course, I was 9 years old at the time, so I guess it was natural to think that at such a young age. I also remember seeing the DVD cover and thinking it was creepy. While I didn't see it until 2012, I guess that was really my first experience with Chucky, seeing these weird commercials with creepy dolls and Jennifer Tilly.

I remember shitting bricks of excitement with this movie when I was 9 and it first came out, I remember literally sitting at the computer and watching all the teaser clips over and over again on dial up internet lol

I was pretty pumped when hearing about it, I was only 13 when it came out in theaters. My friend and I tried to go see it but the dude at the theater wouldn't just let my friend's mom buy the tickets for us, tell the dude we can watch it, and leave us alone to see it. So we didn't get to see it, and now that I look back on it, I should thank the guy for preventing me from wasting me money. While it was entertaining, funny, and whatnot, it was not what I was looking for in a scary, Chucky film, so it was not worth my $5 when I was 13, that was half of my lunch money for the week. About a week after it came out, I downloaded some crappy copy where you could see the shadows of people getting up and you could hear them laugh or whatever, and I burnt it to a CD (yes CD, not DVD, ghetto nerd at it's finest), and my friend came home with me after school and we watch it while murdering some frozen pizza and a bag of Doritos.

I wish I was techy enough to have a burned copy back in 2004-2005. I had to wait for Blockbuster to get it. I then proceeded to run to the counter with it, and then scratched the shit out of it the next day

Even though it sucked for the most part, I am glad I saw it twice seeing as how it was the last Chucky movie to be in theaters.

Seed itself is why it was the last Chucky film to be in theaters. I used to hang out with the owner of the theater (RIP Good buddy) that I used to frequent from time to time and after seeing Seed he asked me "What did you think?" and of course for the fact that it was new I said "Pretty good" and his reply was "They need to stop making these Chucky movies. It's getting ridiculous"
Mind you, he wasn't the diehard fan I was... but I have to wonder what the general opinion was of regular movie viewers and casual horror fans. Obviously not good.
I do feel bad for Don in this respect because he was just trying to do something different and go with the flow... but it didn't work.

So... it's been ten years since I have seen this in theaters.
In exactly two weeks from today... it'll be ten years since I saw it for a 2nd time in theaters. Sadly to say I was the only one in the theater that day. I kinda knew the fate of the franchise from that moment on. :/

10 years... Good Damballa how time flies by. I remember seeing TV spots for this and thinking it was the weirdest thing ever. 10 years later, I have to admit I do like this movie. And I'm probably the only person who does
