I'm looking for submissions for Chucky fanfiction and fan art to be put up on the main website, chuckysplayground.com. It must be of/about Chucky or canon characters in the Chucky universe, and cannot feature offensive or inappropriate material. If you'd like your creation featured there, you can either respond to this thread, or message me privately. I look forward to seeing your submissions. EDIT: For fan fictions, please include a short synopsis, as I am not posting the entire written work. Also, don't send me a copy of the work; All written works will be linked back to where they are originally posted. Nice to see you took my advice about the linking the title straight back to the original work, I agree with the synopsis bit too. Only thing I would like to query is, and this isn't me being awkward, the 'must be about Chucky/canon characters'. What if somebody was to do a story following a new character, but threw in snippets of information and characters from the series of films? I just feel that little detail could prevent us from seeing some pretty good work.

Define offensive? Only because I know in the fanfics I've written they've featured quite a bit of swearing and may have more mature content in regards to sex and whatnot, but it's not pornography or smut by any means lol...and it is Chucky, so I didn't really think saying "frig" was a good replacement for swearing lol

Wondered this myself. Really if you'Dr old enough to watch Chucky then pretty much anything should be ok.
Apart from paedophilia, there's no need for stuff like that.
Mine feature swearing, violence, sexual activity (there is an attempted rape scene in Nica's Story 2, but it's tastefully done).
If we're making them realistic then they'll involve content that is like that I guess

Yeah, my fanfics would probably be PG-13 for Violence/Gore and Mild Language.

I dunno how the American rating system works, but over here I'm hoping mine would be given an 18 certificate. Lol
There will be blood...

Then again, mine could be Rated R. It gets pretty violent in some of mine, lol.

Meh, part of one of Gee's fanfic does contain some of that pedophile stuff, but it's not glorifying it at all, it's used to really make the character despicable and whatnot. And I mean it gets graphic, but as you said, it's Chucky.
But I am pretty sure what Glenda means by offensive is just not 2 pages of "fuck" over and over again or a smut-book. I would assume some of that is okay, but as long as it's not the dominating theme. I'd recommend just to be fair and cover all potential issues with people being offended, we just have a disclaimer next to the ones that may be a little more graphic then others. Like Gee's probably could do with a warning, just saying "Warning: contains offensive language, graphic situations, sexual content, etc." Seems silly, like the rating system for movies, more often then not for internet content, the "SFW" (safe for work) and "NSFW" (not safe for work) suffices, but I figure it might be a good idea to put disclaimers, codes, whatever next to the ones that may contain offensive stuff.
And this would be the responsibility of the writer to convey all of these things to Glenda, as she shouldn't be expected to read through everything and try to monitoring what is said in each other them. So if someone doesn't inform that it may be offensive, then there will be grounds for removal. If Glenda's gonna be nice enough to do this for us, then we should at least give her the sufficient information so it doesn't bite her in the ass because we didn't say it contained doll's porking or someone getting run through a meat grinder or something.
As for Metal Matt's fanfics, I can vouch that every single one of his is pretty much clean, with the exception of violence, but it isn't gore-porn to any extent.

yeah, definitely fair enough.
I'll type up some new synopsis' with a proper warning. Damn, this means I have to learn how to type up a decent synopsis...

Where do we stand on bestiality?
I have literally five pages of goat 'exploitation' in mine!

Okay... now that it's my job the rules on this are going to be a little different.
I will accept ALL art and fanfic work. I will make links to the origins of the fanfics as discussed and I'll figure something out for the art whether it be linked or just posted on the site with the credit going to the artist.
As far as offensive fanfics... I'll put up a disclaimer. Like an "Enter at your own risk" type of thing. This is a Chucky fans site and I think it's understood this the nature of the films and all associated is an R Rated product. If people got offended.... too bad. If parents complain... then maybe their kid's shouldn't be on a fan site for a foul mouthed, R Rated, pint sized serial killer, right?

Couldn't agree more. Think I said something similar a few posts ago

I would assume that we need to let you know if our fanfic need a disclaimer? I agree with you, we don't need to babysit and people should be aware of what they are reading.

No... I will just put up a general disclaimer on the fanfic section itself. Maybe if there is something really outlandish like someone right's about a fully detailed love seen between Chucky, Tiffany, and Porky Pig... then I might put a label next to the link saying "(contains animal rape) or something like that.
Again... we know up front what Chucky is and we shouldn't have to make people feel too afraid to want to submit a piece. Besides if you read Wes Craven's scripts for NOES and NOES 3 they were much more disturbing and unnerving.

Don't know if this is still necessary but figured I'd do it for my latest one, even if it's just to get interest up so people actually read the bleeding thing. Lol
