I brought this up on the old site, but I think it would be something cool to talk about now
I personally really did not like Charles Lee Ray's behaviour in this movie versus the other films mainly because it was so...obsessive. I don't know, Charles Lee Ray to me is a cold blooded, heartless killer who just in my honest opinion wouldn't be seen going nuts over this one woman.
I don't know, it just seemed whiny in my books. I'm used to the carefree Chucky who cracks funny jokes and kills anybody in sight...not some man who's heart sick over a pregnant chick.
What do you all think?

Me as well. Like in my opinion, the previous 5 movies set him up as some sadistic, evil, sociopath, not caring about anything, doing whatever he wants. There Curse kind of changed that for me and made him seem like some bumbling, pathetic loser who was also a killer. It makes me think he went home and listened to some Senses Fail and cried after his kills, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie too...but it just was not what I was hoping to see in Charles Lee Ray

And a sick fetish if you ask me. I like BBW's but pregnant ones are a whole different level of weird. Not that I judge what other people like or what melts their butter... just not for me. lol.
Again... we keep thinking of Chucky as a logical human being. He's not. Who's to say that something about Sarah brought out this weird nature in him for a breif moment but then he reverted back into his uncaring ways.
I will say that stabbing a pregnant woman in the stomach is rather sadistic. That act made him appear even more evil then I had thought. However I agree with him looking rather pathetic wanting to have this fantasy family with her.
Also... and I know most old fans don't give a shit... but where does Tiffany fit into all of this. Yeah... maybe she loved him more than he loved her but I just can't see her being on board with helping him in getting revenge on Sarah. Either she doesn't know all the details, she was part of the original plan (like thinking he could take the baby for her) or they had an open relationship. Again... these aren't normal people.

Yeah that bit where he stabs her didn't go down too well in my house.
My girlfriend had literally suffered a miscarriage a week before and actually watched and enjoyed the movie up until that point

I'm having mixed feelings now.Almost irritates me he could gone soft.This could have been better maybe Don needs some help since he didn't want voodoo involved.Almost like he shitted on this scene and just wrote down something just to make it connect,don't get me wrong I like Don's work but idk maybe he got bored.
