What didn't you guys like about it?
I loved the movie but it had some really confusing/unanswered points:
- Chucky's head was knocked off and there was no blood, but there is blood on his scars. They've always shown blood in him.
- Again, Nica stabs Chucky and stuffing comes out instead of blood.
- Charles has the CP1 knife, but he transferred his soul into the Good Guy doll and couldn't have had time to grab the knife before Mike found the body.
- How did he come back and why is he working with Tiffany again?
- Why is Chucky's face damaged, but his body isn't?
- Would transferring into Alice have worked? He doesn't have the Heart of Dambala and he has scars so I assume he's in the same body as before meaning he's human.

The only real problem I had with Curse were with all the unanswered questions at the end, which will hopefully be explained in the next one.

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything here. Just a lot of unanswered questions.

I tried finding my own logic to some of these questions so here is what I think.
His head- I think his head is the same as the Seed had with a new good guy body which is why it was attached with that white connector piece which I don't recall Good Guy dolls having. The clothes are obviously new at least.
No Blood- He was freshly ressurected. Which also explaines the head
The Knife- Who is to say his Voodoo mentor doesn't have a few of these.
Tiffany- She probably missed him for a moment and decided to bring him back. No one said she's a logical human being. Of... She needed to bring him back for reasons we don't know... yet.
His face- I am thinking two things... Tiffany decided to fix him up and stop at a certain point... or she had a new good guy, and made him look that way since that is what "she" is used to seeing Chucky as. I also feel that she applied the latex post ressurestion... anything before hand would have become his perminent face.
The Soul Transfer- Well I have one crazy theory... The Heart of Damballa is inside of him which explains him not turning human, and being confident in transfering his soul into Alice. The other theory is that it turns out it could only be Andy all along which is why he decides to go after him.
Of course the real reason is that don put too much fan service and took some liberties due to how long it's been since we've seen a Chucky film. 9 years has been the longest gap we've had since the original and there will be new fans watching it and not questioning a thing. Overall... we wanted horror and we got a horror film so I say it's a success overall... but it would be nice to get some kind of official answers down the road.

I just really don't like how Charles Lee Ray is in this movie. I don't know...him obsessing over a woman just seems so out of character to me....

Especially after they established that he had a woman prior to his death. Unless if him and Tiffany were into having an open relationship... but I can't see that being the case either.

Yeah I agree with you on your theories Doctor, that's pretty much how I've been able to bridge the gap with those questions. One of the biggest questions I hear is "how would Tiffany get a new Good Guy?"... like they've never heard of Google, Amazon, eBay, craigslist, etc. A good Guy Doll was a manufactures product, not some animal that goes extinct. Even if the factory goes under, there are still plenty of Good Guy Dolls in circulation - it was one of the hottest toys around in that world. So even if it would be expensive, people would still be able to find them online (just like with replicas for us lol).
And I agree with Gee too, he seemed like a loser as opposed to a hardened killer.

Sure there may have been some problems with Curse but I enjoyed watching it. I don't nitpick flaws that films have. I watch them for the experience and fun of it. I have watched films that have reputations for being bad and awful but I have enjoyed them.

OH well, nitpicking gives us goons something to discuss and converse over, so I don't mind.

I wouldn't necessarily call it nitpicking as much responding to the title of the thread...
But if you think the movie is perfect, that's good too.

I too a, in it for the ride... but upon it's 4th or 5th viewing I think it's okay to notice the things they we fans like to "nitpick" at. I mean after all, we're fans annd it's our duty to questiion the intentions. For if if wasn't for us fans nitpicking George Lucas would have totally forgot to have Obi-Wan Kenobi pick up Anaken Skywalker's lightsaber and walk away with it after their battle in Episode 3. It's little details like that that make the magic happen.
Curse did go a little off the rails in continuity and mythology... doesn't mean it was a bad fil or that we think it's a bad film. However, if you're a fan of this franchise it is only natural to question the reasoning behind why these things happened.

Yeah, which I can understand some of the gaps because it appealed to every fan, which the old school movies had kind of their own mythios, and the new school movies had theirs.

Did you guys forget Don didn't want chucky to bleed because he wanted it to be more scary. He answered that a couple weeks after release.

I'm just worried we'll never get full answers and that it was all just overlooked.

It's pretty likely, I mean he could do an entire movie of just answers to questions, but then it wouldn't progress the story further. I think Don is aware of the small niche that the Chucky community is, and trusts that us fans are kind of able to "fill in the holes" ourselves with ideas and whatnot.
