Yeah, more gore would be welcome. I've noticed that as the series goes on, every film becomes bloodier and gorier. I don't think it should turn into Saw or Hostel torture porn, but I would expect this film to amp up the gore just a little bit. The gore in Curse was pretty good, I thought, so I'd imagine the 7th film would have some good gore as well.

In bride...David death...in seed redmans death and Tony gardner too that was cool....in curse Ian death was the best for me...I want to see in chucky 7 a head split in half like in hatchet 1

Yeah, the entire series has always had a good amount of violence/gore, so I don't think the 7th will have any problems, lol.

When will people realise... Gore is okay in moderation, if it actually helps, or serves the story. Don't just throw it in there for the sake of it. I'd much rather see no gore, and a well written movie. The first two movies had next to no Gore, unless you count the doll being burnt, melted, maimed and exploded.

Agreed, like in movies like Saw, gore is kind of the point. Like Curse had a pretty good moderation going.

The problem is these sequels try to one up themselves. The originals... aside from Chucky himself which did serve the story well... hardly had gore. Until Curse.. Seed was the goriest yet least scary of all the Chucky films.
What I want go see is more creepy shit. Like seeing things from Chucky's POV in some shots, or settings that make you feel uncomfortable. Like Charles Lee Ray's apartment in CP 1.
I think asking for an interactive environment is a bit of stretch both budget and redundant wise. CP2 and CP3 gave us interactive environments for the finale... trying to pull that off again without making it looked force would be challenging as hell. NTM the Good Guy factory is just unbeatable.

Well, that's the thing with sequels in general, they always try to be better or to try and top what came before. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I would hate to see gore overpower a story line, but that's just me.

Yeah, the gore in the Hatchet movies are pretty insane. But the Chucky movies don't really need that much gore.

Yeah. Look at the tension and shock factor surrounding Maggie's death in the original.

Unfortunately smngry, I think us old people have attention spans, lol. Take a look at what younger people watch and it's constant actions or laughs every 15 seconds. I don't think suspense and tension really translate well in today's audience because it's not as "entertaining".
